A new Hobby School of Public Affairs survey shows Texans to be divided along politics on many contiguous issues, including parental rights in the care of transgender minors. Others, such as requiring a content-rating system for school texts, drew at least slim majorities within each political affiliation.

Scientist Eric Bittner Elected as AAAS Fellow
Chemist and physicist Eric Bittner was elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world’s largest general scientific society. Bittner is a Moores Professor of chemistry in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and was elected to the AAAS chemistry section.
